Tuesday November 07:30am : Maintenance

On Tuesday November 4 2025, beginning at 07:30am, crews will be working to move mainline cables required for MDOT highway work at the Hwy 7 / Hwy 9 split. This will affect subscribers near the 7/split and south down Hwy 9w / as well as east of Hwy 9w. Crews will be splicing in new cables along Hwy 7 to allow for MDOT to complete road work. The interruption is expected last 3-4 hours.

4:30pm Repairs Completed | Monitoring

Service has been restored from today’s damage. We are continuing to test and monitor for additional issues.

2:20pm Repairs Ongoing

Fibers are being reconnected and subscribers are coming back online. The work has not completed yet, so there may be additional interruptions until fully resolved.

12:45pm Repairs Continue

The new fiber line has been hung and is in progress to be connected to existing lines, which will restore service.

10:30am Repairs Underway

We have begun to hang new fiber line to replace the damaged portion.

08:55am Damage Found

We have found that our mainline fiber has been significantly damaged and will need to be repaired. We are preparing to begin repairs.

08:31am Troubleshooting

We are currently investigating an issue affecting the Taylor Circuits. Crews are en route to investigate.

MAINLINE DAMAGE: Repairs Completed - Monitoring

Repairs have been completed at this time and we are monitoring for additional issues. If you are still having issues at this time, please contact our Helpdesk to report them.

MAINLINE DAMAGE: Update: 822pm - Repair In Progress

During the course of repair, more damage was located in the vicinity of the initial damage. Crews continue to work as quickly as possible to restore services to our subscribers south of CR 337 down HWY 7 S. The damage is located on a crossing of HWY 7 and heavy traffic has also slowed the repair efforts. We will update again here as we have more information.

MAINLINE DAMAGE: Repair In Progress

Subscribers south of CR 337 (around 992 Hwy 7 S) are currently down due to a logging truck ripping down fiber and power across HWY 7. Crews are working to repair the damage and restore services as quickly as possible. There is no ETR at this time.

[Resolved] Planned Maintenance - Oxford and Taylor

PLANNED MAINTENANCE: Taylor // Oxford Substations

At midnight on Wednesday May 4, 2022, engineers will begin planned maintenance on Oxford and Taylor substations and will be upgrading software on electronics in the backbone. There will be brief (less than 15 mins) outages as the hardware is restarted after the software update. Maintenance should be complete by 05/05/22 02:00:00 am
If you are serviced out of one of these substations, and your service is not operational on Thursday morning, please start with power cycling / rebooting your equipment, and if that does not resolve the issue, reach out to our Helpdesk.
