AFFECTED SYSTEMS: enterprise
Electrical crews safely replaced poles and hung lines today and aided our fiber team in repairing the fiber lines. We appreciate their assistance getting our customers back online. We are monitoring this area to make sure everything is working correctly. If you still experiencing issues, please call our Help Desk at 1-833-NESPARC.
Crews have identified the damage and power crews have begun to secure the lines to create a safe working environment. There is a mitigation plan developed to restore services temporarily while electric poles are replaced and infrastructure is repaired to allow for the replacement of the mainline fiber.
Due to the major storms in the area, there is mainline fiber damage affecting CR 244, CR 243, CR 267 and CR 259 in Union County. The section of line is in a remote area, and also has electrical lines down around it. Electrical power was backfed from a different direction to get power restored, however due to the nature of the downed lines it is currently unsafe for fiber crews to be in the area.
Power crews are on-site assessing the situation, and fiber crews will work to implement a temporary solution to restore services as soon as it is safe to do so.
We will update here as more information becomes available.
